Driving bans for transport in Belarus:
There is a driving ban in Belarus from the end of May until the end of August between 11:00h and 21:00h for vehicles with an axle load exceeding 6 tons per single axle, on all motorways where the temperature rises above 25°C. These vehicles are allowed to drive between 09:00h and 11:00h.

There is a driving ban in Croatia for vehicles of more than 7,5 tons/longer than 14 meters/with a maximum speed of 40km/h from mid-June until mid-September on Saturdays from 04:00h until 14:00h and on Sundays from 12:00h until 23:00h. Driving bans for transport in France:

For trucks with a maximum authorized mass (MAM) of more than 7.5 tons, there is a driving ban starting Saturday or the day preceding a holiday from 22:00h until the next day at 22:00h. Transport to Port de Calais without dangerous goods is an exception to this.

Germany

Germany is a very important export country for the Netherlands and Belgium. Therefore, Rooskens Group has specialized in transport from the Netherlands and Belgium to all of Germany.  Multiple trucks go to each federal republic in Germany every day. We have a lot of capacity in, for example, the ports of Antwerp, Rotterdam, Vlissingen and Gent. In addition, many trucks that go from England to Calais, Dunkirk, Oostende and Zeebrugge are then available to export to Germany. There is a general driving ban in Greece for vehicles of more than 1,5 tons gross weight on Sundays between 15:00h 21:00/22:00h in the outbound direction. During holidays, there are driving bans for trucks with a weight of more than 7.5 tons in some parts of Greece. Perishable goods are an exception to this.

Hungary

Driving bans for transport in Poland:
There is a driving ban in Poland for vehicles and road trains of more than 12 tons on all roads on the evening before a holiday between 18:00h and 22:00h as well as on holidays between 08:00h and 22:00h. There are some exceptions.

Portugal

Rooskens Group has been collaborating with Portugese partners that resemble us since the 1990s. They are medium sized, service-oriented family companies just like us. Every week, they carry full loads from the Benelux to Portugal, while we have complete control, check the status of shipments and regularly measure their performances.
The hub of our Portugese agent is based right between the trade areas of Lisboa and Porto. From the Benelux, Portugese transporters conduct return shipments smaller than 3 pallets to those hubs. Shipments that are bigger than 3 pallets are delivered directly to customers in every Portugese region, including Madeira.

Intermodal transport
We offer various modalities for the transportation of, among other things, steel, iron, machines and petroleum products. Apart from road transport, rail and short sea transport from Rotterdam or Zeebrugge to Portugese ports are sustainable, favourable options. An additional advantage is that sea freight is allowed to weigh 27 tons, while road transport is restricted to a maximum weight of 24 tons.

There is a driving ban in Romania for vehicles of more than 7,5 tons on the DN1 (E60), sections Otopeni – Ploiesti and Ploiesti – Brasov in both directions: on Mondays until Thursdays between 06:00h and 22:00 and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 00:00h and 24:00h. There are various driving bans on holidays as well as on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during summer.

Russia

Rooskens Group provides transport to Russia, which is an important export country. Rooskens Group transports FTL and LTL to and from Spain. The most important commercial and industrial centers of Spain are Madrid and Barcelona, where the hubs of our subcontractors are located. Shipments of 3 or more pallets are delivered directly to your Spanish customers. The distribution of shipments smaller than 3 pallets runs via hubs, just like shipments to the Balearic and Canary Islands.
